Founded in 2019 by military and industry flight test experts, EURO FLIGHT TEST has grown continuously in size, scope and reputation. With each year, we have expanded our regulatory approvals and strengthened our capabilities. Today, EFT is recognized across Europe for its certified flight test training, operational test support and regulatory compliance expertise in both civil and military domains.
Located between Cologne and Frankfurt, Siegerland Airport (EDGS) offers an optimal environment for flight test training. With a 1,620-meter asphalt runway, certified ILS and RNP approaches, low traffic density, and dedicated hangar and classroom infrastructure, the site is ideally suited for a wide range of flight test activities. Its proximity to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and key military command authorities enables effective coordination for both civil and defense-related training. The airport’s operational flexibility and technical setup allow for safe and efficient execution of complex training missions across a broad spectrum of aircraft types.

At EURO FLIGHT TEST, hands-on training is at the heart of our philosophy. With access to over 40 aircraft and helicopters — from light sport planes to complex CS-25 jets and multi-engine rotorcraft — our trainees build real flying experience across a wide spectrum of flight test platforms. Practical missions are designed to challenge, develop and deepen test flying skills through real data collection and structured analysis, supported by EFT’s modular, portable flight test instrumentation systems.
To complement this, our advanced in-house simulators and network-based tactical simulation center create an immersive and risk-free environment. Here, test pilots and flight test engineers change perspectives — stepping into each other’s roles to develop mutual understanding, sharpen coordination and build trust. This cross-functional experience is critical in modern test teams and prepares participants for the real-world challenges of certification, development and operational testing. The result is not only a safer, steeper learning curve, but a more integrated and capable test crew — ready for any mission.

EFT contributes to aerospace research and develops a proprietary Variable Stability System as an in-flight simulator. We also design dedicated measurement equipment for advanced testing needs. This enables earlier flight dynamics analysis, reducing risk and timelines. EFT supports manufacturers and operators with system integration, evaluation and certification – offering independent expertise and unbiased analysis beyond OEM influence.
Qualified. Certified.
EFT is an EASA Approved Training Organization (ATO) for all flight test categories on both aeroplanes and helicopters. Additional approvals include Specialized Operations (SPO), UAS Category 1 military training and Advanced UPRT. EFT also qualifies German Air Force personnel as OT&E specialists with MIL test authorization – enabling clients to access fully certified, regulation-compliant training with both operational and legal credibility across civil and military programs.
