The Aero L-39 Albatros is a tandem-seat jet trainer with a maximum takeoff weight of 4,700 kg, powered by a 1,720 kg thrust AI-25TL twin-shaft turbofan engine. It cruises at 480 kts, climbs at 4,300 ft/min and reaches a ceiling of 37,700 ft, with certified load limits of +8/-4 g.

Widely used in military training and light-attack roles, the L-39C is equipped with dual zero-height ejection seats and is operated in cooperation with the Baltic Bees aerobatic team. EFT’s L-39 is fitted with the portable MeBo Flight Test Instrumentation system, enabling real-time and post-flight analysis of GPS data, attitude, acceleration, angular rates and control forces.
