EFT and Volocopter sign MOU for Strategic Partnership

Volocopter, a pioneer in urban air mobility, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Euro Flight Test (EFT) to provide the first eVTOL training courses.

This groundbreaking collaboration aims to set new standards in pilot training and familiarization with eVTOL aircraft.

The partnership between Volocopter and EFT will focus on developing comprehensive training modules that address various aspects of eVTOL operations. The courses will include:

  • Ground-based eVTOL Familiarization: Providing essential knowledge about eVTOL technology, systems, and operations.
  • Remote Controlled Drone Training: Equipping pilots with the skills needed to operate drones remotely.
  • Flight Test for Pilots: Offering hands-on flight test experience to ensure pilots are proficient in eVTOL operations.
  • eVTOL Training Modules: Comprehensive training programs designed to prepare pilots for the unique challenges of flying eVTOL aircraft.

“We are thrilled to partner with Euro Flight Test to launch these pioneering eVTOL training courses,” said David Bausek, CTO at Volocopter. “As the urban air mobility industry continues to grow, it is crucial to have well-trained pilots who are familiar with the intricacies of eVTOL aircraft. This collaboration will help set the standard for eVTOL pilot training worldwide.”

Euro Flight Test, known for its innovative test pilot and flight test engineer education, brings a wealth of experience to this collaboration.

“Our partnership with Volocopter marks a significant milestone in the aviation industry,” said Peter Hemmert, managing director at EFT. “Together, we will provide pilots with the knowledge and skills they need to safely and effectively operate eVTOL aircraft, paving the way for the future of urban air mobility.”

Euro Flight Test offers professional flight test training through a combination of experienced training instructors and a wide range of test aircraft in all classes, making them the perfect partner for this initiative.
